“But you have made me strong as a wild ox. You have anointed me with the finest oil.” Psalm 92:10
I just finished reading Ruth Buezis “Awaken Love”…
She ends the book with this prayer…
“Father God, fill me with your strength and your power. Give me a stubbornness that will not be broken. Make me wild for pursuing you and your calling in my life. Help me to live on the wild side, not worried about what the world thinks, but focused on you. God, you have anointed me with oil. You anointed me, you commissioned me, you have blessed me. God, when you are with me, I can accomplish all things. You have anointed me. I will not be afraid, I will not be weak. I will not give up. I am yours.”
I was rocked by her audacity…
And reminded that this is what it looks like to live in the Valley of Hope in the tension between what I see and Who I know and to Whom I belong.
“The Resolution to Abolish Abortion” is moving rapidly through North Carolina County Conventions.
Courageous, divinely commissioned Resolution Champions from one end of the state to the other have been reaching out for help as they navigate submitting and presenting resolutions and reporting back to me the events of their convention.
I am not naive enough to believe that the North Carolina Republican Party (under its current leadership) cares at all about Resolutions, nor do I necessarily believe that they (resolutions) even hold influence over proposed legislation.
But I do believe in the power of Resolutions to elevate the issues.
Entire conventions are being hijacked by gospel conversations surrounding Truth.
Rogue Missionaries are answering the call.
Christ over Culture.
Human life and freedom over winning elections and political talking points.
Something is happening across the state.
In just the last few weeks, the Resolution to Abolish Abortion passed UNEDITED in Stokes County, Lee County, Burke County, Cumberland County, Wake County, and as of last night—Johnston—my home county.
The gospel conversations following the convention were as fascinating in Johnston as have been reported in all the other counties.
Those who are pro-abortion grumbled afterwards but did not have the courage to publicly debate nor the courage to publicly dissent.
That is a pendulum shift especially in light of the national platform change and how unwilling most were last year this time to even consider a conversation about abortion much less debate a resolution to abolish it.
God is on the move.
I don’t pretend to understand it except to say that He has called watchmen to the wall and they have shown up.
He has gifted them with a stubbornness that will not be broken.
If you have been considering submitting and presenting the Resolution to Abolish Abortion or the Resolution for Medical Freedom and Individual Liberty to either your county or district convention, please reach out to me and I will provide you with the Word Documents that can be edited for your county.
If you are nervous about what to say or how to present, please feel free to borrow the speech I delivered last night in Johnston (posted below)…
Don’t worry about your knees shaking.
Mine still do.
Remind yourself that God has made you strong as a wild ox and the God who sees is with you.
Remind yourself that politics is a platform for the gospel.
Remind yourself that you live in the Valley of Hope…
That you live in the Age of Abolition…
That the future is Abolition…
See you there.
T
Good Evening.
The Resolution to Abolish Abortion in front of you today passed the Republican 8th Congressional District in 2024.
In the last two weeks, it has been passed at Stokes, Cumberland, Burke, and Wake County Conventions.
There is no greater issue of our time than the continued slaughter of the unborn.
As the debate over abolition rages—three exceptions are brought up over and over—
Circumstances of conception, Gestational Age, and Life of Mother.
I would like to remind you that Article 4.1 of the North Carolina Republican Party states clearly that “We believe in the sanctity of all human life. Unborn children have constitutional rights to life and liberty and, the government must respect and protect ALL innocent human life from conception to natural death.”
Psalm 139 says that it is God who knits us together in our mother’s womb and that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Who is man to declare that circumstances of conception including rape and incest or gestational age determine the value of human life?
The third most common objection is that abortion is necessary to save the life of a mother in a medical emergency.
There is not a single doctor who has ever been willing to testify before any court or any Congress that this is true.
Medical separation is NOT abortion.
Dignified, humane treatment of an unborn child who does not survive a medical separation procedure is possible and does not qualify as an abortion.
We would do well to remember the words of Ronald Reagan who said,
“I have noticed that everyone who is FOR abortion has already been born.”
We are at a crossroads.
In 2024, the RNC officially changed the National Platform to embrace all forms of abortion for any reason except for “late term” abortions.
It is only a matter of time before Article 4.1 of the North Carolina platform is challenged and we will be asked to embrace abortion for the sake of “political wins.”
I have to wonder if our Big Tent may no longer offer shade for unborn children.
Our Party was founded on Abolition…
It was the Republican Party that ended slavery and it was the Republican Party that ended Jim Crowe.
It is up to US to end abortion.
I am asking every delegate in this room to unanimously support this Resolution and add Johnston County to the growing list of counties across the state who have united to end child sacrifice in North Carolina.
—Tara Ansley Niebaum,
Johnston County Delegate
The Resolution to Abolish Abortion (adopted 3/13/2025) at the Johnston County Republican Convention with only one (public) vote of dissent among 104 delegates…
Resolution to Abolish Abortion
Authors: Larry Pittman, Cindy Sallis, and Tara Niebaum
Whereas, Article 4.1 of the North Carolina Republican Party Platform states: “We believe in the sanctity of all human life. Unborn children have constitutional rights to life and liberty and, the government must respect and protect all innocent human life from conception to natural death.” (1)
Whereas, the value of human life is not based upon the circumstances of conception including children conceived in rape and incest, as ALL children have inherent worth as a reflection of their Creator and are included in the North Carolina Republican Party Platform’s category of “all” human life under Article 4.1.
Whereas, on June 24, 2022, the United States Supreme Court issued its decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, 597 U.S 215. Quoting from its decision: “Abortion presents a profound moral question. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion.” (2)
Whereas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Idaho, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, and West Virginia have completely banned and/or made abortions unavailable. (3)
Whereas, ALL unborn children in the State of North Carolina are vulnerable to abortion under the current “12 week ban,” as each child must pass through the first 12 weeks of human gestation to be protected from abortion.
Whereas, a medical separation procedure performed during a medical emergency in order to save the life of the mother is NOT an abortion (the intentional killing of the unborn child during the process of separation).
Whereas, dignified, humane treatment of an unborn child who does not survive a medical separation procedure is NOT an abortion.
Whereas, the North Carolina General Assembly has legal authority to abolish abortion within the borders of North Carolina.
Whereas, Article 4.12 of the North Carolina Republican Party Platform states: “We oppose the sale, purchase, possession, or use of fetal tissue or body parts obtained from induced abortions.”(3)(4)
Whereas, the use of tissue from aborted children in the development of vaccines and in medical research negates the value of all human life. (4)(5)
Whereas, in April 2021, the National Institutes of Health reversed Trump era restrictions on research using tissue from aborted children, (5)(6) such that aborted children have once again been made available for sale. (6)(7)
Whereas, ALL North Carolina school children are required by law to receive multiple vaccines developed using cell lines of aborted children, (7)(8)(9)(10) and therefore, the children of Pro-Life North Carolinians are required to participate in abortion, or assert a medical or religious exemption on their children’s behalf.
Whereas, beginning in 2021, all North Carolinians were required to receive Covid-19 vaccines, all of which were developed using cell lines of aborted children (Pfizer and Moderna: HEK293) and (J&J: PER-C6),(10)(11) thereby forcing Pro-Life North Carolinians to participate in abortion, assert a medical or religious exemption (often denied), and/or face discrimination, employment termination, or other life-changing consequences.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the North Carolina Republican Party calls upon the North Carolina General Assembly to enact legislation, consistent with the Party Platform, to abolish abortion and subject providers who perform abortion to criminal penalties.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the North Carolina Republican Party calls upon the North Carolina General Assembly to enact legislation to end the use of cells, cell lines, tissues, organs, and any other body part of aborted children in research and scientific experimentation, and subject violators to criminal penalties.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the North Carolina Republican Party calls upon the North Carolina General Assembly to enact legislation to end the use of cells, cell lines, tissues, organs, and any other body part of aborted children in the development of vaccines, pharmaceuticals, medicines, cosmetics, and any other product for use, sale, manufacture, testing, or distribution in the State of North Carolina, and subject violators to criminal penalties.

Courageous friend, I am in awe of your clarity, fearlessness, and vision. May the prayers of others propel you and your “soldiers” forward.
Dammit Tara!! You sure do know how to bring tears to an old Marine's eyes! A strong Marine salute to you! We continue the fight using the stubbornness God has bestowed upon us using our gifts and our strengths to make the enemy falter back upon his heels.
This is a long ways from where you were months ago when you were ready to quit. Yet you always seem to stumble upon inspiration and that inspiration spills over to others. When you share it that give others the courage to go on. A trait of a true leader. I think you have some great things coming your way.
Cheers!
