Seven or eight years ago my cousin’s daughter was joyfully pregnant again — 8-10 weeks pregnant with a much-wanted second child — when she learned she had a very fast-growing cancer that was fed by her pregnancy hormones. I don’t know the specific details but she was told she would not live long enough to deliver the baby — she had to start the chemo immediately. She did not believe her baby would come out unscathed and opted for a medical separation. I know babies have been born perfectly healthy when mom’s choose life and chemo too. Has anyone heard of babies being hurt my the chemo process? It is, in my opinion, yet another way God protects babies in utero.
