Upon you I have leaned from before my birth;
You are He who took me from my mother’s womb.
My praise is continually of you.

“Satan would kill God, but he can’t.
So he kills babies because he knows it wounds the heart of the Father and causes chaos on the earth.”
We are told at this very moment in history that voting for Donald Trump will bring about blessing.
We are told he will Make America Great Again.
We are told that God will once again bless America—
If only we elect a man who has made this vow…
And this vow…

Do we really believe that God will bless a nation that practices and protects child sacrifice?
A nation that dehumanizes preborn children and allows them to be murdered, dismembered, and sold for parts?
Do we really think that God will not pour out his judgment against a nation whose king (small k) promotes the killing of the least of these children of His for political gain?
We are standing on shaky ground.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord… Psalm 33:12
Can a vote for Trump be morally justified?
This question is above my pay grade.
Each of us must decide for ourselves.
But in the end, we must recognize that whatever the outcome of this election, God cannot and will not bless any nation that participates in child sacrifice.
So, whatever result we are handed in November—
I have only trepidation.
I am thankful to be a Pilgrim—bound for a distant shore.
Our citizenship here is only temporary.
We sojourn on by faith…
Looking ahead to the eternal city—the one with sure foundations whose architect and builder is God. (Hebrews 11)
And accept that in the meantime,
We live in the tension between hope and trepidation.
Knowing we have been called after having done all else…
To stand. (Ephesians 6)
Even as we are being led away…
He makes nations great, and he destroys them; he enlarges nations, and leads them away. Job 12:23
I pray that none of your readers interpret this post as a license to not vote. There are many issues that I personally have with Donald J. Trump. We're all praying that his recent brush with assassination draws him closer to God, and that by drawing closer he changes his position on many things including: 1.) Abortion "exceptions"; 2.) Homosexuality tolerance; 3.) He should also confess his shortcomings on the COVID plandemic; and other issues. However, Christians and all American citizens have a civic responsibility to vote. Not voting is tantamount to being the "wicked slave" who buried his talent (vote/voice) in the ground, as described by Jesus in the Parable of the Talents. Get registered, VOTE, and encourage others to do the same. "Part of what’s wrong with America is that Christians have retreated from the public square. Even if our true home is in Heaven, we have an obligation to be an influence for good in our culture here on earth." [Alex McFarland] - https://youtu.be/Zr-H08ZoJj4?si=r8enk35lV8hVz8Uj
