My husband and I made the decision this morning to end our affiliation with the Republican Party.
Quoting Todd Starnes…
From the head of the largest LGBT Republican Group—praising massive changes made to the Party platform—specifically language that defined marriage as between one man and one woman:
“The approval today of the 2024 Republican Party Platform at the Republican National Convention is a historic moment both for the GOP and our Country. Log Cabin Republicans have been working for decades to help build a more inclusive GOP and update the platform’s outdated [biblical] and out-of-step language opposing marriage equality [homosexual union] an issue that the vast majority of the country and a majority of Republican voters support. Today, that hard work has finally come to fruition. This platform sends a powerful message to LGBT conservatives across the country that we are not only welcome in the Republican Party, but a part of the movement to Make America Great Again. It also makes clear to voters that the Republican party welcomes ALL [except Bible believing Christians] and is looking optimistically to the future instead of cynically rehashing old debates of the past. This is a platform of unity. We applaud President Trump for his visionary, inclusive, and consistent leadership, without which this moment wouldn’t be possible. LGBT conservatives are more determined than ever before to help the GOP fight the radical gender ideology of the Democrat Party and more enthused than ever to nominate President Trump as our standard-bearer and Make America Great Again.”
I cannot wait to read Planned Parenthood’s statement thanking the RNC for embracing child sacrifice having ALSO gutted all Platform language that for decades affirmed that life begins at conception and vowed to Constitutionally protect it.
Republicans will no longer vow to protect ALL human life from conception nor will they fight to end the practice of Children for Sale.
Republicans are now only against “late term” abortion.
Republicans now worship an inclusive god I do not recognize.
Harmeet Dhillon’s prayer and worship song to “Waheguru” (a Hindu god) as RNC delegates bowed their heads turned my stomach…
JD Vance’s wife is also a worshipper of the Hindu gods.
Amber Rose (founder of Slut Walk) reminded us that Trump supporters/Republicans ARE inclusive and the crowd erupted.
The reality is…
The Republican Party IS inclusive—of everyone but followers of Christ who will not compromise the word of God for political gain or temporary political ambition.
No one can tell me where we fit in now.
No one.
For those suggesting that GOP State Party Platforms will hold strong and the new RNC platform will not require that state parties fall in line, I would suggest you research how quickly the United Methodist Church purged those who would not align when the left-wing progressive faction of the Methodist church replaced biblical teachings on marriage with the “inclusive position on marriage.”
It took the UMC less than four years to fully purge all true believers from among their ranks after the denomination was hijacked by the progressive Left in 2020 and Biblical marriage was replaced with the “inclusive” doctrine of demons.
Things got very legal and very ugly and very non-inclusive for those who would not bend their knee to the false god of Inclusivity.
We are to believe that the Republican Party will be an exception?
I will not practice compromise or recreational Christianity.
I will not bow my head and pray to false gods.
I will not be a card carrying member of a political party that approves of murdering babies or redefines marriage to be “more inclusive.”
To those of you who feel called to remain in the party and on the battlefield, you have my enduring love and friendship.
Please know I did not leave the Party.
The Party left me.
34 years.
I go in peace.
I do not believe that it is coincidence that my bible reading this morning concluded the final chapter and the final sentence of the book of Ecclesiastes…
The end of the matter; all has been heard. “Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.” Ecclesiastes 12:13
Post Script:
If you missed Jack Hibbs’ Sunday sermon, take the time to watch it.
It will anchor and encourage you as the teaching of God’s Word always does.
See you outside the camp.
In Christ Alone…

I never tried to mix my faith with politics, but sometimes they run together. I never monetarily support any party but do my due diligence on election Day to try to pick the "best" candidate available. All we can do is try and be a light to the world.
